Account Executive, PR/Media Relations
The Position
The Account Executive will support several clients in our growing healthcare marketing communications agency. The ideal candidate has previous work or internship experience working in healthcare PR and a passion for helping clients grow through creating influencer, thought leadership, and brand positioning campaigns. The Account Executive will work closely with senior team members to develop a broad understanding of the business and clients by performing a range of well-defined assignments across writing, editing, media relations, social media, event coordination, and message development. The candidate consistently works to enhance their skills and identify and pursue opportunities for getting involved and contributing to the account, team and agency. They routinely contribute informed recommendations as well as creative and effective answers to client issues and needs.

- Build, maintain and grow relationships between assigned clients and the agency
- Serve as the day-to-day media liaison with key media contacts, cultivating these relationships and identifying opportunities based on client objectives and media opportunities
- Manage execution of PR/media relations projects to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
- Maintain all client and internal documentation following established processes, including timely reporting
- Support profitability of accounts through appropriate resourcing and budget management
The Work
- Support client team on daily servicing of client accounts, including participation in client calls and management of account priorities and deliverables
- Assist in formulating media relations, PR, communications plans and strategies for new and existing clients
- Actively contribute to team meetings, as well as in brainstorming, developing, and researching client programs
- Conduct media monitoring inclusive of identifying trends and developing reports for clients
- Identify opportunities for media placements and create and manage editorial calendars
- Develop targeted media lists and build relationships with local, national, and trade media and/or bloggers
- Draft press releases, pitch letters, bylined articles, op-eds, factsheet/backgrounders, etc.
- Create engaging social media content and manage social media content calendars
- Develop internal and external thought leadership materials, such as blog posts and newsletters
- Research and identify client award and speaking opportunities, developing submissions and managing the submission process
- Help manage PR and social media channels for Fuoco, including content development, award submissions and media pitching
The Essentials
- Experience
- 2+ years public relations experience
- Agency experience preferred
- Experience working on healthcare/B2B brands strongly preferred
- BA or BS in PR/Media Relations, Communications, Marketing or related degree
- Skills
- Understanding of how PR, communications, creative and media work together
- Digital and social media fluency
- Recognition of how audiences and influencers interact with channels and technology
- Strong interpersonal, communications and presentation skills: verbal, written and over the phone
- Comfortable developing and delivering client presentations
- Superior organizational skills with attention to detail
- Experience working with monitoring and analytical tools, including TrendKite, wire services, Meltwater
- Ability to synthesize data and derive insights

Position details: Full time exempt
Location: Hybrid role – remote with some travel to Nashville office (onboarding + quarterly meeting) and client meetings (as needed)
